Vacuum Jacketed Pipes are constructed with a heat bridge at both ends to maintain a vacuum-tight joint between theinner and outer pipes.
The extended heat-transfer path provided by the heat bridge minimizes thermal conduction, reducing heat ingress intothe cryogenic fluid. It also compensates for the relative movement between the inner and outer pipes caused by thermalexpansion and contraction during operation.
The segmented Heat Bridge design further facilitates easy field welding of long cryogenic pipeline systems whilemaintaining thermal efficiency.
