Bengal Industries manufactures Vacuum Jacketed Bayonet Connections designed for quick, safe, and reliable assembly and disassembly of cryogenic transfer lines. The bayonet design eliminates the need for field welding during installation, making it ideal for modular cryogenic piping systems used in industrial and research applications.
Bayonet connections ensure excellent thermal performance by maintaining the integrity of the vacuum insulation while providing leak-tight joints. They are suitable for transferring a wide range of cryogenic liquids, including Liquid Nitrogen (LN₂), Liquid Oxygen (LOX), Liquid Argon (LAr), Liquid Helium (LHe), Liquid Hydrogen (LH₂), and LNG.
Bayonet Connections are widely used in:
| Component | Material |
|---|---|
| Inner Pipe | Stainless Steel SS 304 / SS 316L |
| Outer Jacket | Stainless Steel SS 304 / SS 316L |
| Bayonet Male Assembly | Stainless Steel SS 304 / SS 316L |
| Bayonet Female Assembly | Stainless Steel SS 304 / SS 316L |
| Insulation | High Vacuum with Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) |
Bayonet Connections are available for:
Custom sizes can also be manufactured as per customer specifications.
Bengal Industries offers a wide range of cryogenic transfer pipes and hoses designed for the safe and efficient transfer of liquid cryogens. These systems are suitable for handling liquid helium, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid oxygen, and LNG.
The product range extends from simple non-jacketed flexible transfer lines to fully vacuum-insulated piping systems required for transferring liquid helium and other cryogenic fluids. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, these transfer systems are suitable for laboratories, industrial plants, research facilities, and instrumentation applications.
Bengal Industries specializes in the design and manufacture of complete cryogenic fluid transfer, control, and storage systems tailored to customer-specific applications.
Stainless Steel Rigid and Bendable Vacuum Jacketed Pipes are low heat-leak, high-performance vacuum-insulated piping systems designed for transferring cryogenic liquids such as liquid nitrogen and other liquefied gases.
The piping is manufactured in easy-to-assemble sections using bayonet connections. Vacuum Jacketed Pipes are safe to touch, significantly reduce frost formation and condensation, and improve on-site operational safety.
| Inner Pipe Size (DN) | Outer Pipe Size (DN) | Pipe Material | Heat Leak Rate (W/m) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2″ | 1½” | AISI 304 or 316L | 0.31 |
| 1″ | 2″ | AISI 304 or 316L | 0.43 |
| 1½” | 3″ | AISI 304 or 316L | 0.54 |
| 2″ | 3½” | AISI 304 or 316L | 0.72 |
| 3″ | 5″ | AISI 304 or 316L | 0.94 |
Vacuum Jacketed Pipes are constructed with a heat bridge at both ends to maintain a vacuum-tight joint between the inner and outer pipes.
The extended heat-transfer path provided by the heat bridge minimizes thermal conduction, reducing heat ingress into the cryogenic fluid. It also compensates for the relative movement between the inner and outer pipes caused by thermal expansion and contraction during operation.
The segmented Heat Bridge design further facilitates easy field welding of long cryogenic pipeline systems while maintaining thermal efficiency.
